You may run into problems if you run the Symantec Endpoint 11 Manager on the same machines as VMware server. Luckily there's an easy workaround...

It turns out that both packages try to run their own instances of Tomcat on TCP port 8005. To fix this you can change the line that reads "port=8005" in Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\tomcat\conf\server.xml to "port=8006" and restart the SEP services.
