If you haven't already heard about the new OES (Ontario Electronic Stewardship) you should know that the government is applying a recycling tax to most new computer and consumer electric hardware items:
Ontario electronics recycling fees
Effective April 1, 2009:
Desktop Computers: $13.44
Portable Computers: $2.14
Computer Peripherals
(Mice, Keyboards, Single Hard Drives, Optical Drives): $0.32
Monitors: $12.03
Televisions: $10.07
Printing Devices: $5.05
These fees will be built into product prices as of April 1st. Unfortunately this is not an April fools joke. ;)
All our hard drives are A/V certified and tested prior to shipment. 50% of accrued rental can be applied to the purchase of the drive being rented. We include a power cable, SCSI cable (your choice) and a SCSI terminator (if you require) for your convenience.
When it comes to cabling your SCSI hard drives, you have a dizzying array of choices to make: narrow, wide, high-density, centronics, vhdci, single ended, differential, lvd, etc. Things can get down right confusing when you're trying to add drives to your existing system! But don't let that stop you - our technicians can help you figure out exactly what you need, and help you set it all up when your equipment arrives.
